Rob Akey - Born a second generation Whitefish, Montana native in 1956, Rob Akey displayed an early propensity for drawing and painting. Much childhood idle time (and probably more classroom time than appropriate) was spent doodling comic book characters, the family pet, real and imagined scenery, and whatever presented itself for a kid with a pencil and an itch to draw.
Virginie E. Baude - A native of France, Virginie E Baude has always loved wild animals, especially the large ones of the North. She imagined them as she was reading Jack London's books as a child. She began drawing these animals early on and her talent was noticed by her teachers and closed ones
Instead of taking the Art route, Virginie received a Master’s Degree from the University of Montpellier in France where she studied wildlife biology and learned more about animals' behaviors and ecology.
As a self-taught artist, Virginie began using charcoals and acrylic paints to depict vast wilderness landscapes and wild animals such as moose, caribou, Dall sheep, grizzly bears and wolves.
She now paints with oils, and it has been a love affair since then. She appreciates the spontaneity and freedom the medium leaves her.
Her work is contemporary, fresh, made of abstract shapes, impastos and is impressionistic.
Jerolyn Dirks - Jerolyn Dirks earned a degree in fine arts from the University of California at Los Angeles. She has lived and painted for more than 20 years on a small farm north of Bozeman, Montana. For18 years Dirks worked as a watercolorist - with a career in illustration.

Much of that knowledge came from studying art and artists of the past.
